Calling
God spoke:
- I am building the house and preparing you to go into it
- Do not make a name for yourselves
- Serve other ministries
- Do not bring strange fire to my altar
- Raise up the Levites
| For My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations. (Isaiah 56:7) |
Vision
To invite, train, and mobilize worshipping intercessors who by passionate love of Jesus operate by waiting before the Lord, hearing His voice, and responding in obedience.
To establish a day and night prayer room in the spirit of the Tabernacle of David, where people gather to worship and intercede for the purpose of:
To establish a day and night prayer room in the spirit of the Tabernacle of David, where people gather to worship and intercede for the purpose of:
- Inviting the Lord to establish His Kingdom
- Preparing the Bride of Christ
- Watching for the return of the Lord
- Living and encouraging others to live a life embracing the wholehearted love of Jesus
- Seeking to understand the Father’s heart and actively praying for and sharing God’s purposes for churches, communities, and the nations
- Changing the spiritual climate
- Seeing transformation in Vienna, Austria, and the world
| One thing I have desired of the LORD, that will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in His temple. (Psalm 27:4) |

- A House of Prayer for all Nations – Isaiah 56: 7
- Scripture-based prayer – Psalm 119
- Serving other ministries
- Testimony of the goodness and faithfulness of God

- Prophesy
- Bridegroom fasting
- The Necessity of Silence Before the Lord – Zechariah 2:13, Ecclesiastes 3:7, Habakkuk 2:20, Psalm 62: 1, 5-8. To seek to understand the importance of times of silence before the Lord to make a place for Him simply because He is worthy
- The Necessity of Combining Worship and Intercession – Rev. 5:8 (Harp and Bowl). Seeking to understand how music flows together with intercession in an interactive relationship as it is in heaven.
- Praying in the Spirit and Spontaneous Singing – I Corinthians 14: 14-15, Colossians 3:16, Ephesians 5:19
- Cultivating a Prophetic Spirit in the Musicians. To establish through worship, an environment which cultivates a prophetic spirit – II Kings 3: 15, I Chronicles 25: 1-3. Develop a flow between musicians, singers, intercessors – II Chronicles 5: 13
- Antiphonal Singing and Team Ministry in Prayer. To experience the Spirit together as a team is a gift of God to the prayer ministry. Antiphonal singing (to answer responsively in turns; alternating with one another) gives an opportunity to operate in team ministry in the Holy Spirit in worship and prayer. It includes musicians, prophetic singers, spoken intercession and spoken proclamations. Ezra 3: 11, Revelation 5: 8-14
- Agreeing with God’s Heart and the Joy of Answered Prayer. Prayer that is inspired by communion with the Holy Spirit – John 15:7. The Holy Spirit releases authority on the prayers that come from God’s heart – John 16: 23,24
- Connection to Evangelism, World Mission & Serving the Poor and Oppressed. Enjoyable prayer that is active in the Great Harvest – Isaiah 56: 6-8, Luke 15:10, Luke 2: 37-38, Luke 10:2. Partnering with God to serve the poor and oppressed – II Cor. 8: 1-4, Isaiah 56: 6-8
- Desire for Fullness of and Joy in Loving and Needing the Whole Church – Ephesians 3: 18-19. The Holy Spirit commands the blessing and releases more as we function in unity – Ps. 133: 1-3, Acts 2: 46, Acts 4: 31-35, Acts 5: 12, Romans 15: 5-7
- God-centered Spiritual Warfare. The primary rule is that warfare is done by agreeing with God and disagreeing with the enemy. Most often we focus the proclamations to God. Proclaim God’s victory (by agreeing with the supremacy of Jesus, declaring prophetic decrees and reminding God of His promises) and denounce the enemy (by confessing sin, resisting Satan, renouncing the works of darkness, and speaking out the word of God).
Seven major themes:
• Cultural strongholds (murder, sorceries,
immorality, thefts) – Revelation 9:21
immorality, thefts) – Revelation 9:21
• Crisis events
• Political issues
• Church issues
• Salvation of Israel
• Economic issues
• Family issues
- Biblical Prayers Using God’s Language. Using actual prayer and worship texts from the Scriptures, which reveal God’s heart and have a positive focus. This helps avoid preaching prayer and bring unity of prayer focus – Colossians 3:16, the Apostolic and Prophetic prayers found in scripture
- Focus - Exalting Jesus – John 16: 14, II Corinthians 4:5, John 3: 30, I Corinthians 14:12, I Corinthians 12: 31-13:1, Philippians 1: 9-10, John 3: 29
- The Necessity of Perseverance and Watchfulness –Ephesians 6:18 – Cultivate a culture of spiritual perseverance and alertness; to be entirely engaged in order to discern the Holy Spirit and experience God’s fullness. To be diligently watchful of the times in which we live – Matthew 24: 32, Isaiah 62: 6- 7
- Boldness of Faith that Believes God – Ephesians 6:11, 12, 16, Acts 1:8, Luke 24:49, John 14:12, Luke 10:19, I John 3:8
Basis
"But as for the incense which you shall make, you shall not make any for yourselves, according to its composition. It shall be to you holy for the LORD. Whoever makes any like it, to smell it, he shall be cut off from his people.” (Exodus 30: 34 – 38)
That is the basis of all acceptable prayer. As we know, the sweet spices, the ingredients of the incense, typify the moral excellencies of the Lord Jesus: His graces, virtues, merits and worthiness. The incense is not the prayers of the saints, but the merit and worthiness of the Lord Jesus put into the prayers, mingled with the prayers, and becoming that which brings the prayers in effectiveness and acceptance to the presence of God.

- Our prayer format is to agree with God's heart as we speak or sing the biblical truths of who God is and what He promises to do
- To encourage unity of prayer focus, we use scripture-based intercession
- Anyone may pray or sing aloud in ANY language. However, please remember to attend to and follow the direction of prayer
- You are welcome to sit, stand, kneel, lie, and/or dance
- Please turn off or silence mobile phones!

Tips for Intercessory Prayer
(Click to download as pdf-file)
Positive Things to do in Prayer:
Positive Things to do in Prayer:
- Listen and ask for God’s direction and the burden of His heart.
- Speak directly to God – be more conscious that He is watching and listening than that others are watching and listening. This draws the hearts of those assembled to the Lord rather than to you.
- Read specific Scriptures referring to the intervention of God in the affairs of men and nations and translate them into urgent, passionate and heartfelt requests.
- Lift specific promises of Scripture up to God and ask for their fulfillment in our present-day context.
- Pray the apostolic prayers of the New Testament and apply them to our geographic region and our generation.
- Pray for specific aspects and arenas of ministry familiar to most people to be blessed with God’s presence and power – ask for an immediate increase of the Spirit’s gifts, fruit and wisdom.
- Ask for a revival spirit to come upon our fellowship, our city, our nation and other nations.
- As a general rule, concentrate on our immediate geographic area and fellowship, for we are providentially called to be “watchmen on the walls” of the place in which God has chosen for us to reside.
- Limit prayers to 3-5 minutes or less unless there is an extra-special anointing on your prayers.
Things to avoid that scatter the focus in corporate intercessory prayer:
- Praying for things that involve too many details, personal concerns, teaching content, and issues that are not shared burdens of the group.
- Informing God of the details of specific situations and circumstances.
- Informing other people, concerning details of things that need to be changed, doctrinal insights, prescriptions of what you believe are needed.
- Devotional prayers that focus on your personal spiritual needs and longs.
- Requests for people and situations that others are not aware of; and therefore may find difficult to agree with in prayer.
- Praying in such a manner that gives the feeling that you are teaching and/or exhorting others.
- Prayers that catalogue the content of holiness and whole-heartedness.

Healing Room
MHOP Healing Room
The Mercy H
ouse of Prayer healing room was specifically created to minister to those in need of healing. Matthew 8:16-17 says, "And [Jesus] cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: 'He Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses.'" We believe it is Jesus' desire to heal the sick; this is clear not only from the prophecies written about Him, but also from His own life and ministry when He walked on the earth. He told the apostles to go and heal the sick, declaring that the kingdom of God had come into their midst (Luke 10:9). "Our Father in heaven, holy is Your name! Let Your kingdom come and Your will be done on EARTH, in our midst, just as it is in HEAVEN!"
